Privacy and security are on everyone’s minds these days. Online privacy is also called internet privacy. It is a subset of data privacy. It is primarily concerned with protecting user information. Internet users often attempt to protect their information through the anti-virus software, strong password, reviewing site security etc. I think most of people have been face with the security and privacy terms. While signing up any social media account, or downloading any applications you need to accept the privacy statement, this is also one of the example. Risks to online privacy range from phishing scams to malware, while problems with website security may result in identifying the theft.

It is the privacy and security level of personal data published via the internet. If a password of your Gmail, Facebook, twitter account is revealed or compromised then, a victim’s identity may be stolen or used. I have found that internet privacy risks include spyware, malware, phishing. There has been found heaps of cyber violation or fraud case. These types of violations may be minimized by using preventative software applications, avoiding shopping from unreliable websites etc. It’s always better to use very strong passwords consisting of letters, numerals and special characters while setting up passwords.

Internet security encompasses browser security, the security of data through a web form, and overall authentication and protection of data sent via internet protocol. It relies on specific resources and standards for protecting data that gets sent through the internet. While browsing on any websites, you have found that a message appeared in your computer screen such as this website use cookies or you have blocked AD this is also one example of online security. Nowadays, Internet security is becoming a top priority for both businesses and governments. Good internet security protects financial details and much more.

Try to avoid the fake links because nowadays, we can see lots of fake online shopping websites links on social media such as Instagram, twitter, Facebook etc. I think you might have seen adds on social media sites about the online shopping websites links showing the branded products on sale or free. In the past few months ago i have also been in same fraud cases on social media sites. After that i don’t trust on links that are provided on social medias. I have also found lots of false advertisement on social media sites and while browsing on internet.
